About us - your questions answered ...
Anyone who values high quality framing. I work with a range of customers, including professional artists, photographers, craftspeople and designers. A particular focus is art club members, and I really enjoy helping them to exhibit well and more importantly, profitably.
Is framing very expensive?
I'm an experienced and professionally trained framer and work to the highest of standards. I am a qualified Fine Art Trade Guild Certified Framer and as such am committed to the Guild's standards and Code of Ethics. You can also check out the 'Praise' section of the website where you will find messages from happy customers.
Who are your customers?
How do I know you'll do a good job?
I live outside your free service area. Can I still use Dovetail Framing?
I cover a large area but have to draw the line somewhere and so there will always be potential customers who are just outside my area. I run a framing pop-up shop at Rum's Eg Gallery in Romsey every Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm, and would be delighted to discuss your project there.
It doesn't have to be. I carry a huge range of samples and try to ensure that I have something to suit everyone. I don't focus solely on price, but make sure I offer a quality service at a fair price. You will always receive a binding written quotation when placing an order. Please remember that this is not an 'off the shelf' product but that everything is hand made to your exact specifications.
Have you always been a picture framer?
I opened Dovetail Framing in 2014, so this is a second career for me, having spent many years in the police service in London, retiring as an Inspector. Prior to that I ran a framing business, so have many years experience in the trade. My new business couldn't be more different, but I'm really enjoying the challenge.
